MealMatics is a health-first AI meal planning app built by nutrition researchers and developers focused on medically complex dietary needs.
Our Story
We are nutrition researchers and developers who noticed a gap that every major meal planning app had apparently decided to ignore: people on GLP-1 medications, diabetes management protocols, and hypertension treatment plans have dietary needs that generic calorie counters cannot handle.
MyFitnessPal tracks macros. It does not track glycemic load adjusted for insulin sensitivity. It does not account for the fact that GLP-1 receptor agonists slow gastric emptying, which changes how quickly carbohydrates reach the bloodstream and therefore what portion sizes and meal timing actually mean for that person.
We spent time with the clinical literature on GLP-1 dietary guidance, the DASH diet research for hypertension management, and the glycemic index data maintained by the University of Sydney's GI research group. The goal was to build something that reflects what dietitians actually recommend for these conditions, not generic advice.
What MealMatics does differently is treat restrictions as the primary input, not an afterthought. Drug-nutrient interactions, condition-specific macro ratios, meal timing relative to medication schedules — these are configured first. The meal plan builds around them.

The free tier is real. We do not gate the core planning functionality behind a paywall. People managing medical dietary restrictions are already dealing with enough friction.
No dietary data is sold to third parties. The health information you enter is used to generate your meal plan and nothing else. We are not an advertising platform that happens to have a meal planner attached.
